Lim started his career in 1976 with a major

His need for public accounting exposure led
him to join a medium-sized accounting firm based in London, where
Lim provided audit, tax and accounting services.
By the end of his time there, Lim had spent
well over 11 years living and working in the United Kingdom.
Lim then emigrated to Canada and joined international
accounting firm Price Waterhouse's Toronto office. In a managerial
position, Lim spent the next 5½ years providing audit,
tax and accounting services to small and medium-sized businesses
and corporations as well as personal tax services to several hundred
high net worth clients.
Lim returned to Malaysia in 1993 and joined
Price Waterhouse's Kuala Lumpur office as its Senior Tax Consultant,
specialising in providing personal tax services to expatriate
employees of multinational corporations (MNCs) and high net worth
individuals.
Lim was lured back into commerce with his appointment
as Group Financial Controller of MBf Holdings Berhad and MBf Capital
Berhad, two conglomerates listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange
(KLSE). The group is involved in the financial services, manufacturing,
distribution and hospitality industries.
After his stint at MBf, Lim was recruited by
another diversified KLSE-listed company as its Group Financial
Controller. Most recently, he spent time managing the daily operations
of a chain of franchised retail outlets.
In his spare time, Lim enjoys golfing, fishing
and family-centred activities.
